Boston is easily accessible by plane (via Logan airport), the national train line Amtrak (information is available here) and by various bus lines (information is available here).

From the airport, you can get into the city by taking the free MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) shuttle bus outside any terminal to the subway (the Blue Line) or by taking the Silver Line. The Silver Line is a bus that is free from the airport to South Station, which is home to Amtrak, the commuter rail, the main bus station and the Red Line subway. To get to the Colleges of the Fenway area by subway you need to take the Green E Line, to the Longwood Medical Area Stop, which is right in front of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, one of the colleges that makes up the Colleges of the Fenway consortium. (Note, be careful: Unlike the Red and Blue Lines, the Green Line has four branches – the B [Commonwealth Avenue], the C [Beacon Street], the D [Highland] and the E [Huntington Avenue]. Only the E goes to the Longwood Medical Area Stop.)  

All the colleges that make up Colleges of the Fenway are within easy walking distance of one another.

Cabs are also safe and easy to find near most of the city’s museums and other attractions, hotels, train stations and airport. A cab from the airport to the area called The Fenway (or, as the locals say, “The Fens”) will take anywhere from a half hour to an hour, depending on the traffic, and cost approximately $30-$40+. Ubers and Lyfts are also available in Boston.
