“Traditional temple color painting has been my family’s
profession for three generations,” Hung writes. “My grandfather
specialized in temple painting, and my grandmother was the cheongsam designer.
Since my grandparents raised me, my way of painting was imperceptibly influenced
by them, which is based on intuition or focusing on the process of creating
a work. Thus, I naturally immerse my emotions with feelings received from
the outside world to create my work without making sketches in advance.” |
