My Hero Goes to Work Everyday and Doesn’t Complain
Wood, motor, paint, graphite, 36”x36”
This work, Cox writes is “a portrait of someone walking the same
route to work everyday. In the work the ephemeral qualities of drawing
are combined with sculptural qualities, allowing for a new opportunity
of discovery. In this manner, the drawing becomes a component, integral
to the piece, rather than a draft for the final work. This process
provides the foundation to explore my everyday experiences as part
of a daily routine.”
