2013 Conference SCHOLARSHIPS
Full and partial scholarships to the 2013 Conference on International Opportunities in the Arts are
based solely on need. Only those making an annual, adjusted gross income of $25,000 or less
are eligible to apply.
To apply, please send a letter (no longer than 1 page) with:
1. a copy of your 2011 adjusted gross income (as entered on line of your 2011 Federal Tax form; not
your Schedule C)
2. the reason why you would like to attend this Conference and
3. why the full registration cost to this Conference is beyond your current financial means.
Letters must be received (not postmarked) by March 15, 2013.
Letters should be sent to:
516 East Second Street, #30
Boston, MA 02127
Attn: 2013 Scholarship Committee
Scholarship winners will be announced by April 1, 2013.
Scholarships are non-transferable and non-refundable.* TransCultural Exchange reserves
the right to chose the Conference scholarship winners on the basis of need and the
advancement of the Conference’s aims. When similar applications are submitted,
TransCultural Exchange reserves the right to select the applications that the
organization feels best adhere to TransCultural Exchange’s mission and goals.
TransCultural Exchange’s decisions are final and non-negotiable.
*Please note: Most scholarships awarded will be partial scholarships. Partial
scholarships cover $150 of the $285 registration fee. If awarded a partial scholarship, the
scholarship winner, thus, must pay the remaining cost of the Conference registration fee ($135) by check or money order no later than June 1, 2013 or forfeit their scholarship.
Full scholarships only cover the Conference registration costs. The Conference’s separate
ticketed items – mentoring sessions, special events and the gala dinner – are not included as part
of the scholarship award.
