Ruby Barnes is a Chicago-based painter, muralist and digital artist. She has always admired the elegance of vintage photos and as an avid collector, she has chosen to make her bracelet a celebration of ancestors and has arranged them as "charms" dangling from a linen band clasped with a vintage button. "Each portrait,” the artist writes, “speaks to my imagination and represents a million stories eloquently spoken through a facial expression or a hat or a gesture.”
