Klaus Postler is a peripatetic artist and independent curator whose work centers around the use of collage. As a mail artist he has long history of exchanging works with other artists around the world, and has participated in over two hundred exhibitions world-wide. About his bracelet, the artist writes, “As an artist who works in collage, drawing, video and photography, I found the idea of working in a jewelry format a new challenge. By incorporating collage elements into the bracelet I was able to marry the se processes into a new form. The giving away of the bracelet echoes aspects of mail art whose commitment to a free and democratic exchange of art work and exhibition opportunities resonates with my sensibilities.
