Totem on organized Religion
SueJoy Catandella
9' x 2' diameter, oak and copper

"The work," Catandella writes, "is a representation of religious organizations. Each hole/void, symbolizes a different type of religious organization. The inner rot of the trunk depicts the true inner imperfections, impurity and inequality of each religion and what it truly stands for. The copper is like make-up, which camouflages the imperfections within all the religions."
