The Practice of Making a Guidebook
For their collaboration, a team of international artists and a non-artist described
a place to other artists who had never visited the destination they were describing. Those artists then made a guidebook for that location, based
on their impressions of the information they received. Afterwards, both the initial and interpreted images and texts were woven together, revealing
the ways in which local knowledge is transformed when filtered through a person of a different cultural background and field of discipline.
